Bowie & Dick Test Packs are pre-assembled, single use test packs designed to evaluate the performance of the air removal system of pre-vacuum assisted sterilizers in compliance with EN 285. An indicator sheet printed with water based, non-toxic chemical indicator is placed in the center of each pack. The uniform color change of the indicator after steam sterilization indicates that all air was removed and replaced by steam. The backside of the indicator sheet contains fields to be filled out and it can be kept as a per-manent record for traceability purposes.

Bowie Dick test Packs fulfill the performance requirements of ISO 11140-4.Indicator used is classified as class 2 according to ISO 11140-1 standard. CE marking is not applicable for indicator products, because this product is not considered a medical device under the clause of the EC-directive 93/42/EEC

OPERATION CONDITIONS
Bowie Dick Test Packs are designed to operate in pre-vacuum steam sterilizers at 121 °C 10 minutes, 134 °C 3.5 minu- tes operation conditions. The color change should be che-cked with the sheet in the back of packaging to show if the parameters have been reached.
